This volume contains the first recording of the Favela Discos’ experimental improvisation orchestra, Milteto. The group’s formation and nature varies from concert to concert, both in number of musicians, type of instruments used, in the occupation of space or the improvisation techniques they use. Over the years the project served as a space of experimentation and collaboration between the collective and other musicians from Porto’s scene.
For this record several musicians from outside the collective were invited, such as Gustavo Costa, Inês Castanheira, João Ricardo, Pedro Augusto and Rafael Silva. The record was thought and divided according to each guest’s characteristics and instruments.
